September 14- 18, 2009

Reading:
Monday- Read pages 36 to 42 in "The Gold Cadillac". The questions at the bottom of each page are to be answered.
Tuesday- Read pages 18 to 21 in "La Bamba". The questions at the bottom of each page are to be answered.
Wednesday- Continue "La Bamba". Read pages 22 to 24.
Thursday- Complete "Applying Your Skills" on page 25.
Friday- Read the story "The Story Telling Stone" on pages 10 to 13.
Note- We will have fifteen minutes of Silent Sustained Reading each day.

Language:
Monday- Parts of Speech Overview. It is a power point program. A worksheet will be created together and it will become homework.
Tuesday- Pick the Parts of Speech Overview. It is a power point program. A worksheet will be created together and it will become homework.
Wednesday- English Grammer Parts of Speech. Same procedure for this power point.
Thursday- The Grammar Family. Same procedure.
Friday- Nouns. Same procedure for this power point.
Note- Each day we will practice cursive with a cursive worksheet.

Math(Book 1 and Book 2):
Monday- Chapter One, Lesson Five. Do odd problems.
Tuesday- Chapter One, Lesson Six. Do odd problems.
Wednesday- Chapter One, Lesson Seven. Do odd problems.
Thursday-No homework. We will complete a practice test.
Friday- First Test of Quarter One. Review all previous lessons.
Note- Students will be given challenge problems at the beginning of each period.

Geography:
Monday- Text. Pages 27-31. Questions on those pages to be answered.
Tuesday- Text. Pages 32-36. Questions on those pages to be answered.
Wednesday- Pages 37-39. Same procedure.
Thursday- Pages 45 - 47. Same procedure.
Friday- Pages 48 - 51. Section Two Review
