Note: We are attempting to lockstep and coordinate geography and math assignments by Thursday.
Note: As always, I will paste the modified assignments each day so that you can copy them.

Geography:
Monday- Define the following terms: Prehistory, hunting & gathering, Carbon 14 dating, artifact, old stone age, fossils and nomad, archeologist,and site. This follows a discussion on the Paleolithic era.
Tuesday- Define the following terms: ritual, migrate, glaciers, domestication, excavation, bartering, division of labor
Wednesday- Write an essay on the following topic and prepare to share: How would my life be different if there were no stores, central heating, carpenters, craftsmen and technology beyond the use of stones and sticks? (Fifty words or more)
Thursday- Define the Neolithic Age, subsistence farming, and agriculture. Give an explanation for how mankind may have first made the transition from hunting and gathering to subsistence farming.
Friday- Video on the Stone Age/Neolithic Age

Math 1:
Monday- Spiral Review and Practice (no assignment)
Tuesday- Spiral Review and Practice (no assignment)
Wednesday- Spiral Review and Practice (no assignment)
Thursday- Chapter 3, Lesson 1. Exploring Decimal Representation
Friday- Chapter 3, Lesson 2 The Metric System

Math 2:
Monday- Spiral Review and Practice (no assignment)
Tuesday- Spiral Review and Practice (no assignment)
Wednesday- Spiral Review and Practice (no assignment)
Thursday- Chapter 3, Lesson 1 Least Common Multiples
Friday- Chapter 3, Lesson 2 Mixed and Improper Fractions

Reading:
Monday- Read “Iraqi Treasures Hunted” Define recovered, civilizations, and authorities. Complete “Applying Your Skills”
Tuesday- Read “Cave”. Define techniques, projection and vivid. Complete “Practicing the Standards.
Wednesday- Read pages 106 and 107 of the writing workshop. Practice the use of Venn diagrams.
Thursday- Read pages 108 and 109. Students use a suggested idea or their own to write a comparison/contrast essay.
Friday- Read pages110 and 111. Complete the section “ Differentiating Instruction”.

Language:
Monday- Identify all pronouns in the section “Iraqi Treasures Hunted”. Label
Tuesday- Identify all adjectives. Include the noun or pronoun modified.
Wednesday- Finish the assignment from Tuesday.
Thursday- Identify all pronouns in the section “Cave”
Friday- Identify all adjectives in the section “Cave” Include the noun it modifies.
