Reading
Monday- Read “All Summer in a Day” silently. Students may make observations that may be used on the test for this story.
Tuesday- Read “All Summer in a Day” out loud. I will listen and note student skills. No assignment.
Wednesday- Students will make a plot diagram for this story and write personal definitions for highlighted words.
Thursday- We will watch a simile and metaphor power point. Students will create five similes and five metaphors on their own.
Friday- Students will take a test on “All Summer in a Day”.
Language
Monday- Students will complete a worksheet on coordinating conjunctions.
Tuesday- Students will complete a worksheet on correlative conjunctions.
Wednesday- Students will write a short story using coordinating and correlative conjunctions.
Thursday- Students will complete a worksheet on interjections.
Friday- Students will write a short story using interjections.
History
Monday- King Narmer and the Unification of Egypt. Students will take notes from power point.
Tuesday- Students will be given the second study guide for the second test. They will copy it.
Wednesday- Students will take notes on a power point presentation on Egyptian fashion.
Thursday- Students will view pictures and power points on Egyptian housing and architecture. They will take notes.
Friday- Students will watch a video on Egypt. No assignment.

20. Natron- A salt substance used in mummification.
