March 1 to 5

"These plans are based on the best prediction of what we hope to accomplish for this week. Please note, that these plans will vary from time to time because of various interruptions (fire drills, assemblies, etc.) and that we want to make sure students master material, before we move on to new concepts."

Reading
Monday- Read “Cricket in the Road” on pages 270 to 276. Write all highlighted words and then define them according to context usage. Complete the Respond and Think Critically section on page 277.
Tuesday- Read “Medusa’s Head” on page 283 to page 288. Students will then write the most important sentence in each paragraph to the end of page 288.
Wednesday- Finish the above story to page 296. Complete the “Applying Your Skills” section on page 297. Write down the highlighted words from each page and define them.
Thursday- Video Short Story No Assignment
Friday- Test on the above two stories.

Language
Note: There will be a test on all study guides next week.
March 1 to 5
Note: There will be a test on all study guides. Students are allowed to keep these and study them each night.
Monday- We will practice identifying participle phrases and create a study guide for that.
Tuesday- We will practice recognizing infinites in phrases and create a study guide for that.
Wednesday- We will write sentences for selected infinitive phrases. Not a study guide.
Thursday- We will practice diagramming prepositional phrases. Not a study guide.
Friday- We will practice identifying adjective clauses and create a study guide for that.

Math 2:
Monday- Chapter 8 Lesson 2 Do problems 1-14
Tuesday- P1 practice No assignment
Wednesday- Chapter 8 Lesson 3 Do problems 1-21
Thursday- P2 practice No assignment
Friday- Chapter 8 Lesson 4 Do problems 1-23


Math 1:
Monday- Chapter 8 Lesson 2 Do problems 1-30
Tuesday- P1 practice No assignment
Wednesday- Chapter 8 lesson 3 Do problems 1-23
Thursday- P2 practice No assignment
Friday- Chapter 8 lesson 4 do problems 1-30


History
Monday- We will create a study guide for our first week on Rome. Students keep these and should study them each night until the test.
Tuesday- Students will be given questions to answer during the story of “Romulas and Remus” and the founding of Rome.
Wednesday- Students will watch a power point on the Etuscans while answering selected questions.
Thursday- Students will answer questions while watching a video on the geography of Italy.
Friday- Video on Italy Not An Assignment
