Note:
1. Tests come approximately every two weeks. Nothing has changed. However, tests will be given during the class in addition to the activities of the day. They will not necessarily be posted. However, you can expect test three in every subject this week based on the last two weeks of learning.
2. I have decided to begin collecting textbooks this week. The assignments will be generated from software unique to that program. The skills will be integrated to prepare for the coming MAP tests.

- Students will present their speech in class.

Thursday-
- Students will write a story using rhyme.
- Students will present their story to the class.
Friday-
- Video on poetry

- Students will create a poem
- Students will present their poem to the class.
- Students will proof read each others poems followed by editing.
Language:
Monday-
- Read two chapters of Ghost Canoe
- Students will find and state the main idea of each chapter.
- The above will be reflected in summary and shared with the class.
Tuesday-
- Lesson 23 and 24. Direct statement of main idea. Implied main idea.
- Complete associated worksheets
Wednesday-
- Read two chapters of Ghost Canoe
- Students will list in two columns facts versus opinions in these two chapters.
- Students will share and a list will be created on screen using input.
Thursday-
- Lesson 27 Fact and Opinion. Lesson 28 Mixed Statements
- Students will complete worksheets.
- Students will write on a common topic offering varying facts and opinions. The topic may be environment.
Friday-
- Read two chapters of Ghost Canoe
- Students will complete a summary
- Students will create a timeline.
- Timelines will shared on the document camera.
Math:
Monday-

- Percentage problems will be stressed this week
- Three MSP practice problems
- These will be imbedded cookie problems.
Tuesday-

- Student demonstration of selected Saxon problems.
Wednesday-

- Selected geometric ratios with fractions. Example: ratio of the total surface area of an object to the volume of the same object.

Monday-
- Oral presentation of the Second Triumvirate
- Students will be given key words to listen for during the presentation.
- Students will define these terms as they hear them.
- Class discussion as to the nature of Antony, Octavian and Lepidus.
Tuesday-
- Students will color Roman black lines of art
- Students will complete a word find with important terms.
- Contest for best completed art work
Wednesday-
- Oral presentation, Octavian to Augustus
- Students will be given key words to listen for during the presentation
