Note: This is conference week. All classes are shorter because of the early release schedule. Lesson plans will not be as extensive. The following items are indicators of class activities. There will not be a test this week.
Reading:
Monday to Friday-
• Each day will be comprised of a short video essay and a worksheet for figurative language. Assignments will be assigned according to dates.
Language-
• Each day will be spent reading AR books and taking AR tests
History (6th and 7th grades)-
• Each day will be spent on CBA work. Our CBA piece is on cause and effect. The topic is the Israeli vs Palestinian issue. This topic covers approximately 4000 years of history. Students read and add information to their files each day while progressing towards the finished product which is an essay on which they take a stand. A daily effort grade is given. The end product is worth the weight of a test in the fourth quarter.
