This half week is filled with activities. They include assemblies and events. Obviously, we need to be flexible. My intent is to combine math and history in a fun format. I refer to it as Elvis math and history week. Periodically, students are given a challenge. A successful answer can result in an opportunity to win a prize. A small one of course.
This format will allow me to hold students accountable to the learning process to the last minute. It also allows me to hold them accountable with regard to grades until the last minute. There will not be homework in this last half week of school. I will treat their work as class work with the same weight as homework.
Have a great summer. Our last day is Wednesday and it is a half-day. Let us all come back next year fully charged and excited about learning again.
