April 26 to 30

"These plans are based on the best prediction of what we hope to accomplish for this week. Please note, that these plans will vary from time to time because of various interruptions (fire drills, assemblies, etc.) and that we want to make sure students master material, before we move on to new concepts."

Reading:
Monday- Students will read “Brother” on page 41. They will also take a sample WASL reading test.
Tuesday- Students will answer comprehensive and critical analysis questions for the above.
Wednesday- Students will read “The Land I Lost”.
Thursday- Students will answer comprehensive and critical analysis questions for the above.
Friday- Career Day

Note- We will work on the cross curricular Worlds Fair project all week. Periodically, we will take the time to work with grammar software and spelling software.

History:

Monday- We will study the Second Triumvirate and the funeral of Julius Caesar. Students will note the issues involved in a power vacuum.
Tuesday- We will study Octavian Caesar and discuss his leadership skills and create the second study guide for the quarter.
Wednesday- Students will list the accomplishments of Augustus.
Thursday- We will watch a video on Rome.
Friday- Career Day
