Septembe 13 to 17

Notes:
1. There have been problems with the blog. I hope this shows.
2. We are one assignment behind in Language. Due to unpredictable circumstances this may happen from time to time. Please ask your student.
3. From time to time I may reduce the number of problems in a math assignment pending our progress.

Reading:
Monday-Read "The Gold Cadillac"
Tuesday- Complete questions 1-9 and the writing focus on page 43
Wednesday- We will create in class a list of questions for "The Story Telling Stone", "La Bamba", and "Gold Cadillac" to be answered.
Thursday- Video Short Story (no assignment)
Friday- Test on the previous stories.

Language:
Monday-Bring Lit books to class. Page 27 Grammar Link and "your turn" plus page 45 grammar link and "Your Turn".
Tuesday- Power point unit on sentence fragments (no assignment)
Wednesday- Lesson one on Sentence Fragments. It is a worksheet that will be distributed.
Thursday- Test on pronouns and sentence fragments.
Friday- Power point on run on sentences.

Math 1:
Monday- Mid chapter assessment (non graded) on page 21
Tuesday- Draw a diagram. Pages 24 and 25. Problems 1-22
Wednesday- Test on chapters 1-5.
Thursday- Algebra and Equations, 1-21 and 26-30
Friday- Spiral review on page 32 with challenge problems.

Math 2:
Monday- Mid chapter assessment (non graded) on page 25
Tuesday- Guess, check and revise. 1-23 on pages 28 and 29
Wednesday- Test on chapters 1-5
Thursday- Writing an equation. Pages 30-33, problems 1-27
Friday- Spiral Review page 34. Challenge word problems will be given.

Art:
Monday- We will sand Ft. Flagler name tags.
Tuesday- We will develop a study guide for a test on Friday. (non graded)
Wednesday- Use black and white paper. Tear black paper into irregular pieces and glue pieces on the white paper to create a reflection.
Thursday- Complete review page 15, 1-20
Friday- Test

History:
Monday- We will develop a study guide for a test on Friday. (non graded)
Tuesday- Sketch a map of Mesopotamia shown on the screen or your own source.
Wednesday- Discuss the meaning of a city-state. Write 12 reasons for why there is a need for government.
Thursday- Discuss Mesopotamia's religion. Students will list the Mesopotamian dieties and explain the function of each. Make a connection to nature.
Friday- Test
